About Wellies & Wranglers

Welcome to Wellies & Wranglers. A podcast (and newsletter) where old journals get a second life.

Who we are

We’re Josephine and Linzi, two women from wildly different childhoods.

Josephine was raised on tea and traditions at a posh British boarding school. Linzi? On tater tots and tornado drills in the Kansas public school system.

What do we have in common? A lifelong obsession with journaling, and a deep belief that our teenage selves still have a lot to teach us (and laugh about).

What we create

Each episode of the podcast centers on a theme — from first crushes to friendship fallouts to big dreams — and features us reading real excerpts from our old journals. We also invite guests to do the same, sharing the cringey, chaotic, or unexpectedly profound moments they captured in their own handwriting.

And when someone’s mentioned in a journal? We just might track them down and invite them on. (Tag you’re it.)

Gina was with Monica, and Gina started walking off and told Monica to come on and she said no I have to watch Dominic’s stuff. I hate her she thinks she is so pretty that all the guys like her. Well I don’t have to worry she will be moving in December, so I can have Dominic all to myself,
your friend,
Linzi

I mean poor old Monica, and I wonder what happened to Dominic? Who knows, maybe he is out there somewhere ready to be tracked down by the W&W ladies!
